The HDcctv Alliance reportedly is close to announcing formal approval of Version 1.0 of its standard for transmitting 780p and 1080p video signals uncompressed and unpacketized over coaxial or twisted pair, HDcctv is being positioned as an alternative to IP megapixel cameras in that it can offer users with a large amount of analog equipment and cabling infrastructure an economical path to HD resolution.
