Question about technical issue
I am a publisher of Russian newspaper Security News covering security market and video surveillance technology, а leading industry newspaper in Russia. We published a number of news concerning HDcctv Alliance; the links are available at http://www.secnews.ru/company/HDcctv/. I would be very thankful for your comment on some technical issues about HDcctv technology.
I’m interested in video signal type transferring from camera to DVR in HDcctv systems. Is it a analogue video signal without discretization and quantization, or primary digital stream outputted from ADC, maybe scrambled and line-coded? If it is a digital stream, what is its bit rate?
In case it is allowed by the policy of Alliance, I would also be very grateful to receive a copy of original specification of HDcctv standard v1.0. I assure you that this document will never be passed to third parties and direct quotations from it will not be published by me.
I am looking forward to long-term cooperation with HDcctv Alliance.

It should have a formal booklet, in case of troubleshooting.

Hi Anatoliy,
Thank you for your coverage of HDcctv.
HDcctv cameras transmit HDTV signals digitally. The base technology is High Definition Serial Digital Interface, which transmits bits serially at 1.5Gb/s. Very high-speed communication! The receiver (DVR or monitor) reconstitutes a parallel signal conforming to a BT.1120 interface standard, then displays or otherwise processes the video signal.
Unfortunately our licensing agreements permit us to share the full text of the Specification only with Adopting and Voting Members of the Alliance. I hope you can understand. Meanwhile, we would be happy to answer any questions you might have. Please feel free to email me directly at rockoff@highdefcctv.org
